Maybe someone likes this amazing band. They released only two albums "Serenity" (1997) and "An Echo From Beyond" (1999). I love debut work even more than second.
Averon performed some kind of soft and soulful doom (sure, more doom than something else). Band's singer Ola Persson sing more with soul than with great technique, add amazing doomy tunes - this sounds really close to listener, every song is a little beautiful culmination.
There is not so much band info available now. Maybe the reason for this is that band members are not well known with other projects...

2Swedish guys: do you know something about story of the band. It looks absolutely mysterious!
Many years passed since the band's inactivity but I'm still impressed with these two albums (first especially) and listen them frequently. But I'm even in grief because it looks like they are not really popular among doomsters.

This is something really strange... a Swedish doom metal band, and this is the first time I hear about them!!

Hmm, interesting... what's wrong with them?! ![]()
Of course you can find them at metal-archives. Here is review http://doom-metal.com/reviews/averon.html .
I don't use last.fm service but there is a band's page there: http://www.lastfm.ru/music/AVERON .
I guess CD's may be still available in internet. As for me I just bought them some years ago in a Russian rock-shop. It was a shock to me as these relatively rare CD pieces were very cheap - I was ready to buy them much expensively.
. If someone knows where to search for mp3 rips he will find. Albums were leaked into internet.
Highly recommended to hear Averon!

By the way, both LPs are available through Shadow Kingdom store: http://shadowkingdomrecords.com/store.p … search_by= .
Hmm, let me think that I'm number one fan of this great band. Number one and only one! This thread is completed with my comments, I can't keep silence about Averon. ![]()
