April 27 is the first live date for Candlemass in 2012. The band will go to Portugal for the first time and they really look forward to bring their unique style of doom metal to the Barroselas Metalfest. Don’t be surprised if they will play a couple of new tunes from the upcoming album as well as a bunch of old classics.Portugal…land of great portwine and football…the lords of doom are coming!!

Candlemass live @ Hell’s Pleasure festival, july 23

Finally the new DVD is out. Well…it turns out it is a CD + DVD package.
Anyway, it contains the show from Sweden Rock as audio on one disc, and on the other you get both the SRF gig on dvd as well as the show from Athens, plus photogalleries and an interview = Good value for money!!
If you wanna spend more hard earned cash, you also have the SRF show and Athens on vinyl. 2 double exclusive 180 gram LP’s. The SRF DLP comes on blue and yellow vinyl, as the swedish flag. The Athens version is blue and white as the greek flag.
Both of the double LP’s are incredibly cool with loads of nice photos!

As promised we can now reveal the first headliner for KEEP IT TRUE 13 in April 2010. It will be swedisch Doom legends CANDLEMASS with a very special show.

CANDLEMASS will play a very special 2 hour show at KEEP IT TRUE 13 and are going to perform their classic “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” album in its entirety with original vocalist Johan Langquist on vocals as part of their set to celebrate their 25th anniversary of the band. The regular set will feature Rob Lowe on vocals.

Exact date will be announced later, but it is now confirmed that Candlemass will play the english Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2009.
Many of the summer festivals are being booked right now and since the new Candlemass album is to be released in may next year on Nuclear Blast, the band will try to play as much as possible in 2009. So expect to see Candlemass live on a stage near you next summer!!
